Following the meeting of the Council for Supporting Women to Shine held at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence in March 2014, the “Declaration on Action by a Group of Male Leaders Who Will Create a Society in Which Women Shine” was formulated in June 2014 by male leaders of companies that are actively working to promote women’s participation and advancement.
The Declaration on Action states that male leaders at the top of organizations will “take action and communicate,” “break through the status quo,” and “promote networking” in order to motivate women and enable them to fully demonstrate their abilities.
The Declaration aims to encourage male leaders who support it to take concrete actions in line with the Declaration and to expand these efforts to other socially influential male leaders.
