Message from the Group CEO

To all shareholders and investors, thank you for your kind assistance and cooperation.
The MITSUI-SOKO Group is making steady progress toward achieving sustainable growth by leveraging its all-round logistics capabilities, which range from upstream to downstream in the supply chain, and diverse human resources, in order to meet more multifaceted customer needs, as a source of value creation.
The environment surrounding today's society is changing dramatically on a global scale and on a daily basis. The logistics industry is also undergoing a major transition, with rapid changes, such as the advancement of digitalization, labor shortages, and the move toward decarbonization.
In these circumstances, we recognize the need to reconsider our raison d'être as a corporate group in order to make a further leap and achieve sustainable growth. Thus, we have recently renewed our group philosophy, and based on this philosophy, we have formulated a new five-year plan, the Medium-term Management Plan 2022, with the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023 being its first year and the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027 the final year.
Under the new medium-term management plan, we aim to achieve further progress by "deepening" our various initiatives for sustainable growth, building upon the foundations laid during the previous medium-term management plan. As a first-call company that our customers can trust, we will pursue business operations based on the three pillars of our growth strategy: Top-line Growth by Mobilizing the Group's Collective Strength, Reinforcement of Operational Competitiveness, and Building Management Foundation to Support the Deepening. By doing so, we aim to increase corporate value over the long term, help build a sustainable society, and meet the expectations of all stakeholders and society as a whole.
We look forward to your continued support and encouragement for the MITSUI-SOKO Group.
